The End?
Dear Friends,
One particular passage caught my eyes recently while chewing on a book a few months ago. The author wrote, "All beautiful things must end. Otherwise they are not beautiful.” This is true in every facet of life, even death.
If you recall, I mentioned in my first letter that I'd been tuning into the rhythm of the daemon who prompted me to start The Burning Seat experiment in the first place. After only two cycles, it appears that I've been summoned to embark on yet another experimental adventure. I've been sensing into this feeling for a few weeks now and intentionally suppressing this invite by all means necessary, but it seems like the thumos is stronger than ever.
Regardless of the fact that I have no idea what experiences the daemon will be channeling this time, I have a hunch this new experiment will be unlike anything you've ever seen. I also sense it will allow us to usher in integrative literacies aimed towards the building of a cool headed communit(ies); it will help us to begin to think in a delicious way, and to begin to experience various spectrums of be-ing.
If you want to join me on this journey while wearing blindfolds, you'll need an app called Discord (android download and IOS download).
Once downloaded, here’s a private invite link to join the Discord channel.
To inject some element of fun, I recommend entering that space with another alter ego (or similar) nickname. Then, go to behance to pick an avatar. For instance, you can search for a black woman, a forest, or a raccoon, depending on your preferences. Take a screenshot of the image you want to use and upload it to your Discord profile.
What's going to happen next on Discord? I have no idea, but I'm sure it'll be a beautiful experiment once we get a few people on there.
To conclude, I'm not sure if The Burning Seat is completely dead or if it will resurrect in the future, but we'll have to wait to see what happens.
That being said, I'd like to thank you for giving "The Burning Seat" a try. I hope you all enjoyed our short play together, and I look forward to seeing you all on Discord.
Warmly,
Chop
Noteworthy: Send me an email if you'd like to recreate The Burning Seat experiment with your friends/family, and I'll be happy to lead you through the process, from planning to execution.
